Purity Over Lust

 Hey y'all! Miss me?! I've been on hiatus and haven't sat down and blogged much lately so let's get started. So everyone knows my story if you've read my previous blogs over the years but I'll give a little history for those just tuning in! I'm 27, single and I don't have children. I write about my life and this particular blog which I will post on throughout the rest of the year is wrapped around purity. I have been a part of an amazing organization and ministry that promotes purity for almost 2 years now called Pinky Promise (pinkypromisemovement.com). I began seriously walking with God when I was about 23 and at that time I decided to cut out recreational dating and I'll go into the No Randoms Movement shortly. Anyway you're probably curious as to how I came up with White Boots 101 huh lol? Well there's an artist named Jamie Grace who has a song called White Boots and it's about purity. I thought how cool would it be to blog about my journey and share with my sisters the things I've learned over the past few years on this walk of celibacy. I first gotta give God honor and praise for changing me, filling me with his spirit and leading me. I have to thank ALL of my sisters who keep me encouraged and uplifted especially my natural sister and best friend (y'all know who y'all are lol). And last but not least Heather Lindsey for the No Randoms Movement and the awesome ministry Pinky Promise that I mentioned earlier. God is my first mentor but he has used her to minister to me for the past couple of years and I'm so grateful that he sent her at the right time. So let's get started... 
The bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 NLT
[18] Run from sexual sin! No other sin so clearly affects the body as this one does. For sexual immorality is a sin against your own body. [19] Don't you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, [20] for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.
That's as plain as it gets LOL! We are to flee from sexual sin and in today's society most seem to FLOCK to it. Yes we all make mistakes, we are human etc but once we have knowledge of that scripture above we should be convicted and if you're reading this and feel convicted STOP and pray! God loves us, he loves us so much and he hates to see us heartbroken, attached and connected to people who don't love us back. I'll get some slack for this blog most likely but if I cared what people thought I'd remain silent. CLOSE THEM! That goes for legs and doors! I don't care what you've done, you could have ten kids for all I care it doesn't matter God still loves you and wants every part of you. When we surrender our lives to Christ we take on his commandments and we are to live by his word. No more excuses, no more "only God can judge me" because yes he can and his judgement is final so it's nothing compared to petty humans.
