Sometimes we can't change our situations or our issues... Sometimes they're out of our hands and no matter how much we complain, cry and fuss we have to realize that there is a greater source to take our issues to and that's Christ. I was reading Mark 9:24 "Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” The man brought his son to Jesus because he had suffered for so long and he wanted Jesus to heal him so he asked him to help him IF he could. I imagine that Jesus paused for a moment as if to say you don't trust that I can? We all have issues... We all have struggles and we say verbally that we trust God yet we hold on to our issues! We hold on to our frustrations and carry our issues to church but we only take them to church and not to Jesus. Pastor Steven Furtick recently preached a message called That Thing and in the message he talks about our unbelief. Jesus wants to heal the thing underneath the thing! We have some issues beneath the surface that we are trying to hide but how can you hide it from God?! How can you hide anything from him, bring your issues to him because nothing is too big or messy for him to deal with. God help my unbelief today. Here's the "thing" and I don't want it.
