Day 11

Today I find myself in 1 Samuel 16:1-13 and reading about David. God looks at the heart and scripture tells us in 1 Samuel 16:7 NIV

[7] But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

I was listening to Pastor Steven preach a message on this and he said," When God knows where you are nobody else has to notice!" I started thinking about how we rate our level of success and status on how many people know us or know of us. God doesn't care about people's notions of success because he's bigger than that. I'm so glad God looks at my heart you know? Man judges on the fact that I'm 5'0 ft tall, chubby and maybe not strikingly gorgeous to most but to God my heart is everything! Just because I'm not visible does not mean I'm not valuable! So three people might read this so what... I'm writing and I stay dedicated to sharing life through this blog because I know it's God inspired. I know that God had a purpose when he told me to create it. So unless he tells me to stop I won't. I'm ending week two of this fast which was my first week of no social media whew LOL! You'll be reading this from one of my social media pages since I can share from here but I've disconnected myself from FB and Twitter for a little while. I just wanted to touch base and write out what was on my heart. God sees our hearts and he judges in our hearts and motives. Make it good!- CDJ
